The 2018-2021 Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC)'s Region Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) is a four-year program of multi-modal transportation investments proposed by local, regional and state partners in our region. Funding for the investments programmed in the RTIP is a mix of Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, Indiana Department of Transportation, and local matching funds. The investments programmed in the RTIP assist local and regional partners in providing a multi-modal transportation system for the people of Northwestern Indiana. The investments are evaluated to help prioritize limited federal funds available to the area. The investments are intended to yield the maximum benefit while also consistent with the goals of the Long Range Transportation Plan.
The RTIP website represents the current 2018-2021 RTIP at any given time. The RTIP may be amended up to four times per year to best reflect project schedules, cost estimates, and other necessary information. RTIP provides you with the most up to date information available and provides project-specific search and mapping capabilities.
